SCHOOL HISTORY

History

Sampaloc Site II Elementary School was built under expropriate ordinance No. 88, Series of 1990 thru the efforts of then Mayor Walfredo N. Ferrer and the City Council.

On May 22, 1991, a resolution creating one (1) principal I position for Sampaloc Site II Elementary School, District of Paranaque I sponsored by Councilor Manuel T. De Guia, Chairman on Committee on Education was approved.

The school started its operation on June 3, 1991 with less than 1,000 pupils and 30 teaching staff under the administration of Mrs. Nelly E. Medina.

Formerly an annex of Fourth State Elementary School. SSIIES was recognized by the DepEd – NCR as an independent school in 1995.

In 2013-2014 SSIIES used 12 instructional rooms, 10 makeshift rooms and 11 non – instructional rooms to accommodate 2,902 pupils, 62 teachers and 21 non – teaching staffs.

For improvement and expansion purposes, the original building, which housed 23 classrooms, was demolished to give way to the construction of a 2—classroom 4 story building.  With this situation, Edwin L. Olivarez, City Mayor, made it possible to construct 7 makeshift rooms to augment the shortage for the 2,902 pupils.  With this, the school implemented the three-shift class schedule under the management of the principal, Apolonia F. Soriano.

In October 2017, the construction of SSIIES new building was fully finished and the school has 26 instructional rooms, 4 non – instructional rooms to cater the 2,076 pupils.                                                                                                                                                            At present, school year 2019-2020 SSIIES has 26 instructional rooms, 4 non-instructional rooms to accommodate the 2,660 pupils, 78 teachers and 15 non-teaching staffs under the leadership and management of Maria Cristina N. Balbaboco who arrived in the school on July 9, 2018 as the new School Principal.
