The successful nationwide implementation last school year of Brigada Pagbasa (BP) as a form of Brigada Eskwela is an after-school reading program shall continue this school year. In response to DepEd 3b Initiative issued under DM 173, s. 2019 or Hamon: Bawat Bata Bumabasa, Sampaloc Site II Elementary School launched the Second Cycle Brigada Pagbasa on August 12, 2022.

The Brigada Pagbasa serves as an avenue for all stakeholders to contribute possible solutions to make every learner a reader by engaging more education partners and experts to efficaciously attain the goal of the BP program. In the same issuance, all Brigada Eskwela (BE) implementers are encouraged to conduct this partnership initiative to synergize and addresses reading, literacy, and numeracy learning gaps in the education system based on the results of the national assessments for learners.

To highpoint this school year successful conduct of the 2nd Cycle BP, SSIIES hold a culmination program on May 13, 2023 at 8:00 AM with the division theme “Bawat Batang Paranaqueño Bumabasa” and school theme “Batang Sampaloc Site II Elementary School Masayang Bumabasa”. Headed by School Principal Maria Cristina N. Balbaboco, Reading Coordinators, Teacher-Volunteers, and Reading Tutors of the different grade levels. The BP Learner-Participants to receive their certificates witness by their Parents and/or Guardians. Guests and other Stakeholders were also present to be part of the culmination program of the 15 days successful conduct of Brigada Pagbasa starting from January 28, 2023 to May 5, 2023.
