The provision of education has moved beyond the traditional classroom face-to-face session to Distance learning. The ravaging effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on education has left us with no option than to, with open arms, embrace distance and online learning.
In order to properly conduct Distance and Online Classes and aids in delivering quality education and service, Local School Board (LSB) donated 72 laptops and Councilor Tess De Asis donated 7 laptops for teachers in Sampaloc Site II Elementary School.
These laptops were already distributed to the teachers. First batch of distribution was on July 25, 2020. The second batch of distribution was on December 2, 2020 and the third batch of distribution was on May 25-26, 2021 and this was spearheaded by the school principal Mrs. Maria Cristina N. Balbaboco, assisted by the school property custodian Mrs. Lamerisa T. Gomon and school LIS and ICT coordinator Mr. Richard A. Sucgang. The selected 79 teachers were given instructions to go to school to get their laptop unit and signed the respective documents needed for school copy. A set of guidelines were also provided for the teachers become aware of their responsibilities on the borrowed laptop unit.
As assurance, these laptop units will be a great help for teachers to continue doing their best in imparting knowledge and skills in distance learning despite of Covid-19 pandemic crisis. (by Jinky R. Tomas)
